Session and annual award

Students will be periodically evaluated based on their achievement in their chess class. For each session, all the students get their scores in their in-class chess tournament. Based on the total scores in all the tournaments that they played during the session, the 1st place student will enjoy 10% off on his/her next session registration fee. The 2nd and 3rd place students will get a 5% off reward.

Over the full academic year, which runs from June 1 to next May 30, the overall highest scoring student will be awarded the Best Student of the Year trophy award. The trophy will be mailed to the student's home. The second and third overall highest scoring students will have silver and bronze trophies which will be delivered to the student's home.

The top players by age and sex get awards.

Students who achieve the top 100 in the US Chess Federation can enjoy 10 to 50% off their chess class registration fee. The top one student will receive a 50% discount on their chess student fee. Second through fifth place can receive a 30% discount. The top 6th through 10th can have 20% off. The top 11th through 100th can enjoy 10% off their tuition. All the students' achievements have to be verified and they agree to share their awards with ichesswhiz.com users to be qualified for this special discount.
